LOS ANGELES, CA, March 29, 2017 - Hillsides, a Southern California foster care charity, is putting its own spin on fundraising by hosting the third annual Battle of the Paddles ping pong tournament on April 6 at the SPiN Standard in Downtown Los Angeles. Local businesses and individuals sign up to sponsor teams and to vie for both a team and individual championship. The individual winner will take home, the Costa Cup trophy, named after Joseph M. Costa, Hillsides president and chief executive officer.

Tickets to the event, organized by the Hillsides Guild, a support group of Hillsides, are $120 per person.
CONTACT: Alison Bell 626-390-1640 LOS ANGELES, CA, March 16, 2017 - For the fourth year in a row, an alumni support group of the University of Southern California, the Trojan Affiliates, organized an afternoon of art for the children who reside at Hillsides as part of the USC International Day of SCervice on March 11, 2017. The group provided canvases, sketch pads, paints, ribbons, buttons, and snacks, and 17 volunteers donated their time to oversee the activities with the children.
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27, 2017-- Hillsides, a Southern California foster care charity, raised $370,000 during its annual gala, themed Las Flores de Hillsides, held on February 25 at The Langham Huntington Pasadena. Some 360 guests enjoyed cuisine, drinks, décor and entertainment with a Latin American flare as they raised money for the 13,000 children, youth and families Hillsides serves. “It was wonderful to see so many of our supporters at our gala, which is our largest fundraiser of the year,” said Hillsides president and chief executive officer Joseph M. Costa.
Hillsides, a foster care charity, held a gala sponsor reception for donors on January 31 at Alma de la Rosa restaurant in Pasadena.  Some 70 guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks at the new restaurant owned by Robert and Deborah Simon, the site of the former AKA Bistro in Old Town Pasadena. 


Family Resource Centers offer numerous community-based programs and services that provide parenting classes, mental health support, and additional crucial resources for vulnerable children and families throughout Los Angeles County, including the San Gabriel Valley and Pasadena. >
